Through SCEC’s Electric$ense program, FOR AS LOW AS $449 (not including tax), members can purchase discounted RHEEM® MARATHON® large-capacity water heaters equipped with a receiver, which manages when the element heats the water.

The water heater warms water in the tank overnight – taking advantage of lower-priced electricity when green energy generation is highest.

Even when the power is paused, the home still has access to all the hot water stored in the tank. Most homes do not notice when their water heater is not actively heating.
